Renew Your Identity
In order to move forward in life, you have to properly categorize the past. We have all made mistakes. We have all been wronged. Some of us have been wronged very badly. We have been hurt physically, emotionally, and mentally. The pain that we may have can be intense. Regardless, and not to be insensitive, we must put the past to use in a positive way or discard it if we are to move forward. We want to achieve all that we can. We want to become the best person possible in order to achieve our dreams and reach that life purpose. The bottom line is, either your past can be an asset or a milestone tied about your neck dragging you down. Renewing your identity is part of a personal development plan.

Getting Your Way the Right Way
Believe it or not, you are better off not getting your way when you are right than you are if you get your way when you are wrong. Let me explain. When you are right and you don't get your way, you're vindicated in the end at least to yourself if no one else.

What gets you back where you need to be? Go shoot a round of golf? Head to the river for a bit of fishing? Bake a batch of cookies? Find your natural Prozac and take a pill. Get away and replenish. Your troubles are temporary if that is how you choose to make them. Control your troubles, but never own them. Find your sauce for flushing the feelings away…

Motivation and Hot Showers
It occurred to me as I contemplated getting out of the shower that there are two kinds of long-shower-takers. You know the people I am talking about, perhaps you are one of those like me. Long-shower-takers are the people who stay in the shower for 30 minutes, or longer, and use up all of the hot water. My wife hates that! Well, I hate other long-shower-takers too. My oldest son is a long-shower-taker and I was glad when he moved out. But anyway, there are two types of long-shower-takers: A) Love the Hot Water long-shower-takers B) Hate the Cold House long-shower-takers

Alexa Ranking: What is it and should I care?
Alexa ranking is a website ranking system that gives a website a numerical value in relation to all other websites. It basically ranks the best site (best in Alexa's opinion) as number 1 and then the second best site gets the ranking of 2, and so forth. There can be only one site with each numerical ranking. The smaller the Alexa ranking number the better. At the time of this writing, the top Alexa ranked site is Google.com, but you can check the current top Alexa sites here. All it takes is a little research to tell you that Alexa is a flawed ranking method.
